Southern Lebanon witnessed a new military escalation as Israeli warplanes continued to launch airstrikes on several towns, while Hezbollah responded with operations targeting Israeli gatherings and vehicles. The Lebanese Ministry of Health recorded a cumulative toll of aggression amounting to approximately three thousand martyrs.
Military operations continued in southern Lebanon, where Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes that included the towns of Haris, Deir Antar, Khirbet Silm, Haddatha, and Tibnin in Bint Jbeil district, in addition to Marwaniya in Saida district. The raids also targeted the town of Al-Baysariya with two separate raids, and extended to include the Babylonian town center. The Israeli targeting circle expanded to the towns of Tirfalsi, Siddiqin and Maaroub, while the Israeli army issued evacuation warnings To the residents of Suhmar in the western Bekaa and the villages of Rumayn, Qusaybah, Kafr Hunah and Baanaful in the south. The Lebanese Ministry of Health revealed a painful toll of the Israeli aggression that continued from March 2 to May 17, where the number of martyrs reached 2,988 martyrs and 9,210 wounded, reflecting the extent of destruction in the targeted areas. On the other hand, Hezbollah announced the implementation of two qualitative operations in response to the ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement. Hezbollah fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli vehicles and soldiers in the town of Rashaf with a rocket bulldozer. They also targeted an Israeli bulldozer in Al-Bayada with an onslaught of confirmed casualties. The Israeli army admitted that rockets and drones fell near its forces stationed in southern Lebanon, and confirmed that four of its soldiers were injured by an explosive device, in which one soldier and one officer were seriously and moderately wounded, in addition to a combat officer and another soldier were slightly injured.
