A recent study by the Boston Consulting Group revealed that about 5,000 ultra-wealthy people in Germany dominate 27.3% of the total financial wealth of $12.4 trillion. The study predicted that this percentage would rise to 29% by 2030.

The 26th edition of Boston Consulting Group's Global Wealth Report showed a growing concentration of wealth in Germany, where about 5,000 high net worth individuals control 27.3% of the country's total financial assets. According to estimates in the study, the super-rich own about $3.4 trillion out of $12.4 trillion in total financial wealth German, in a phenomenon that reflects the growing gap in the distribution of wealth. 2025 saw a remarkable growth in the number of wealthy Germans, as the number of people with wealth exceeding $100 million (about 86 million euros) increased by 1,100 people compared to the previous year, reflecting the strong performance of financial markets. The consulting firm noted that HNWIs have particularly benefited from gains in equity markets over the past year, which has boosted their financial positions and increased their share of total wealth. Expert Michael Kalisch from the Boston Consulting Group in Zurich warned of the accelerating pace of wealth concentration, stressing that "those who own more can diversify their investments more widely and invest in higher-yielding asset classes such as stocks or private ownership." The study predicts that these trends will continue to escalate, as the share of the super-rich in financial assets is expected to rise Germany will reach 29% by 2030, raising questions about economic policies and wealth distribution in Europe's largest economy.
