US President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social on Monday two possible scenarios for dealing with Iranian enriched uranium, as part of the ongoing negotiations between the two countries. According to Trump's statements, the enriched uranium will either be transferred “immediately” to the United States for destruction, or destroyed at its site or in another suitable place in coordination with Iranian authorities. The US President stressed the need to implement The process is under the supervision of the Atomic Energy Commission or equivalent, without clarifying whether it refers to a US agency or the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. Tehran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium, estimated at 400 kilograms, is a pivotal point of contention in the current negotiations, especially after Trump confirmed last Saturday that the framework of an agreement has been “largely” negotiated. For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that he agreed with Trump during a phone call that any final agreement must eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat. Netanyahu explained that this requires the complete dismantling of Iran's uranium enrichment facilities and the transfer of highly enriched uranium stockpiles outside Iranian territory.
