Eight Arab and Islamic countries condemn Ben Gvir's practices against the Gaza flotilla

Eight Arab and Islamic countries led by the UAE condemned the humiliating practices committed by the extremist Israeli minister Itamar Ben Gvir against the participants in the Gaza flotilla. Ministers considered these acts a flagrant violation of human dignity and international law.

The foreign ministries of eight Arab and Islamic countries issued a joint statement condemning in the strongest terms the heinous practices committed by the extremist Israeli Minister Itamar Ben Gvir against the participants in the flotilla heading to the Gaza Strip during their detention. The signatories to the statement included the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Turkey, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of Qatar. In their joint statement, the ministers affirmed that the deliberate and public humiliation practiced by Ben Gvir represents a blatant attack on human dignity, and a flagrant violation of Israel's obligations towards international law, including international humanitarian law and human rights law. Ministers also strongly deplored the illegal and extremist acts of incitement and violence carried out by Ben Gvir and his fellow Israeli officials against the people Palestinians in the occupied territories, warning that these provocative practices fuel the flames of hatred and extremism. The ministers demanded that Ben Gvir be held accountable for his actions, and called for decisive action to stop his repeated provocations and incitement, with the need to ensure the full protection of human rights and dignity of all detainees. The statement warned that Ben Gvir's practices hinder international efforts to achieve a just and sustainable peace based on a two-state solution, and stressed the importance of Full respect for international law in the occupied Palestinian territories.
