In press statements, Trump explained that the United States is closely monitoring the developments of the Iranian file, justifying the recent military operations against Tehran by saying: "We have dealt Iran painful blows. There were no other alternatives available to us. ”Regarding the current US strategy, the US president compared the approach taken with Iran to that applied to Venezuela, explaining: " What we are currently applying with Iran is very similar to what we have followed in dealing with the Venezuelan regime. "On the domestic military front, Trump praised the US armed forces as " the greatest army in the world. " At the same time, he revealed ambitious plans to strengthen the country's defense capabilities by demanding an increase in the military budget of the Ministry of Defense to a historical figure of $1.5 trillion.
